The GELEX Sports Festival 2024 – Northern Region was organized by the GELEX Trade Union on November 16, 2024, at the Long Bien District Cultural, Information and Sports Center in Hanoi.
As a member of the Trade Union of GELEX Group Joint Stock Company, the HAPUMA Trade Union organized a sports delegation to participate in the festival with the spirit of camaraderie, learning and healthy competition—without placing too much emphasis on achievements.
Competing teams included units from the northern region under the GELEX Trade Union or belonging to the GELEX Group, such as GELEX, GELEX Electric, GELEX INFRA, EMIC, Dien Co, CADIVI Northern Branch, SAS-CTAMAD and LS Vina.
The festival featured various sports events, including tennis, table tennis, badminton, tug of war, relay running and seven-a-side football.
- Tennis: Men’s doubles (above and below 45 years old)
- Table tennis: Men’s singles (above and below 45 years old)
- Badminton: Men’s and women’s doubles
- Tug of war: Mixed-gender and men’s teams
- Relay running: 4x400m event
- Football: Seven-a-side mini matches

HAPUMA athletes with GELEX Group leaders and the Organizing Committee – a moment to remember!
HAPUMA participated with a delegation of 34 athletes, competing in various events including men’s doubles tennis (over 45), men’s singles table tennis (above and below 45), men’s doubles badminton and both men’s and women’s team tug-of-war.
Final Results: The HAPUMA sports delegation excelled at the 2024 Northern GELEX Sports Festival, winning a total of 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal:
- Gold Medal – Men’s Tug-of-War: Team of 10 male athletes: Đặng Văn Tuấn, Nguyễn Văn Hưng (Foundry), Lương Viết Khiêm, Nguyễn Kim Tuấn Ninh (Mechanical), Phạm Văn Chung, Vũ Minh Hiếu (Technical), Bùi Đức An (Design), Đinh Đức Hải, Đỗ Văn Công, Đào Trung Sơn (Planning).
- Gold Medal – Women’s Tug-of-War: Team of 10 female athletes: Mai Thị Thu Hương, Đỗ Thúy Dịu (Planning), Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Thúy (Sales), Trần Thị Thu Thủy, Nguyễn Thị Hạnh (Foundry), Trần Thị Minh Phương, Dương Hồng Nhung, Vũ Thị Liễu (Mechanical), Hoàng Thị Hưởng (Finance), Tô Thị Tuyết Vân (Quality Control).
- Gold Medal – Men’s Doubles Tennis (Over 45): Vũ Xuân Tùng (Planning) & Trương Quang Hiếu (HCM Office).
- Gold Medal – Men’s Doubles Badminton: Nguyễn Bá Hoành (Foundry) & Nguyễn Mạnh Hưng (Quality Control).
- Gold Medal – Men’s Singles Table Tennis (Over 45): Bùi Tuấn Nghĩa (Mechanical).
- Silver Medal – Men’s Singles Table Tennis (Under 45): Nguyễn Văn Toản (Planning).
The remarkable achievements at this year’s Sports Festival were made possible not only by the dedication and effort of each athlete but also by the excellent organization, coaching and leadership of the HAPUMA Trade Union Organizing Committee. Equally noteworthy was the enthusiastic and wholehearted support from the cheering squad, proudly wearing HAPUMA’s signature blue.
